Kelsey received her Bachelor of Science in Coordinated Dietetics from Texas Christian University in 2006, and went on to obtain her Diploma of Culinary Arts from Arizona Culinary Institute in 2007. She has spent the last 15 years working across multiple disciplines – inpatient hospital as well as long-term care medical teams, private chef work, and school menu analysis. She loves to volunteer and has served as a nutrition educator for Cooking Matters/Share our Strength, a culinary nutrition instructor for women and mothers in shelters, and assisting with weekly meal prep for those with limited resources. Kelsey is passionate about exploring the outdoors, trying out new cuisines and types of foods, traveling, humanitarian and equality issues, and animals (especially dogs). She and her partner, Francis, live with their rescue Jack Russell/Dachshund mix, Chuey.
